"1914-1918 The Saint-Mihiel Salient : From occupation to
liberation"
The exhibition traces the battles and the occupation the town of Saint-Mihiel had gone through during the Great War.
In accordance with an elaborated scenography, this exhibition honors the memory of soldiers, who had fallen in the trenches around the Salient and shows the suffering of the civilian population during four years of German occupation, as they were used as human shields.
Through this exhibition, you will discover the town of Saint-Mihiel before the war, the daily life of civilians and soldiers and the liberation of the Salient.
The exhibition is established inside the Police and District courthouse, which underwent for the occasion an important renovation between 2017 and 2018, in order to create a permanent museographic space.
